Known to immediate family as "Cis" or "Billie".

Passed teachers' examinations in 1898.

Was teacher at Ferntown School, Nelson to end of 1904. Held in high esteem by both parents and children. Left to teach at Brooklyn School.

Left Brooklyn School April 1909, where she had proved herself a capable, conscientious and efficient teacher, and a kind and loving friend of the children.

Married and lived in Otaki, New Zealand.

1943 address: 61 Shakespeare Rd, Nelson.

Was found gassed to death (believed to be a tragic accident) with husband 1960, at 61 Halifax Street, Nelson.

Buried at Marsden Valley Cemetery, Stoke, 20/8/1960, MV05A026_A plot 026, block 05A.

Her daughter Silvie married a tradesman (surname Hickmott) and had six children.

These are married with children in Palmerston North and Nelson.
