Mrs. Clara E Giffin,87, of 2310 Lycoming Creek Road died on Friday in the home of her son Chester Bobst in Syracuse NY. The former Clara Sunderland she was married to Elmer Giffen. Born in this city she was a member of the Newberry Church of Christ, the Williamsport Golden Age Club, the Ladies of the GAR, the Women of the Moose & the Auxiliary of the Brotherhood Of Railway Trainmen. Surviving are another son Torrance Bobst, a daughter Mrs. Florence Bobst Irion, 2 stepdaughters Mrs. Mose Gee & Mrs. Russell Hauser, 2 brothers Jerome Sunderland & William Sunderland, 3 sisters Mrs. Annabelle Whipple, Mrs. Jennie May Confer & Mrs. Bess Robinson. Burial will be in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
