About Clara Brandts
Clara Schuller came from Eupen/ Eifel, which today is part of Belgium. The people in this area were all German when it became part of Belgium. Clara's father was a notary. Her picture, along with her husband Karl's, now hangs in the Monchengladbach Library as the only remembrance of their once, magnificent home. The home was willed to the city to be a museum in 1926, bombed in 1943 during WWII, and a new library was constructed in it's place.
