COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Clara McBroom Lane, 88, of Cookeville will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, from the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 3. Mrs. Lane died on Nov. 2, 2002, at Masters Health Care. She was born Sept. 13, 1914, in Jackson County to Henry and Ethel Dyer McBroom. Mrs. Lane was a retired factory worker from Wilson Sporting Goods and a member of the Church of Christ. Her family includes one son, Frank Lane of Cookeville; four grandchildren, Greg and Alan Lane, Tracey Gniewek, Amy Milton; and six greatgrandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Lane; one son, Jerry Alan Lane; her stepmother, Martha Ann McBroom; two brothers, Oliver and Arthur McBroom; six sisters, Estelee Fox, Lola Jackson, Veda Huddleston, Flora Keith, Lucy Kurtz and Sarah Hensley.
