About Clara Marie Thompson
Mrs. Clara M. Thompson, 94, Madison, passed away on Friday, Oct. 17, 1980, at a nursing home.
She was born on June 12, 1886, in Moscow, Iowa County, Wisconsin. She graduated from Francis Willard Hospital of Nursing in Chicago, Ill., in 1910.
She was married to Edwin Thompson of Hollandale on Oct. 2, 1912. They farmed near Hollandale until his death in 1943, when she moved to Madison to reside with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Hendrickson.
She was a member of Perry Lutheran Church and the Circles of the church in Daleyville. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Grant (Elaine) Hendrickson, and Thelma McGuigan, both of Madison; three grandsons, Ken and Bill McGuigan, both of Madison, and Bob McGuigan, Colorado; two great-grandchildren; a niece and nephew of Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, six sisters, and four brothers.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 20, at the Frautschi-Cress Funeral Home, with Dr. Robert G. Borgwardt officiating. Burial was in the Perry Lutheran Cemetery in Daleyville.
The family suggests that memorial be made to the Perry Lutheran Church or Bethel Lutheran Church Radio Fund.
