Clarence H. Daebler, age 88 of Navarino, passed peacefully into the loving arms of the Lord, Thursday, July 19, 2012 at his daughter & son in-law's home in Appleton. He was born December 24th, 1923 in Fond du lac, WI to the late Herman and Helena (Pranke) Daebler. As a child he was always known as Candy. He joined the Conservation Corp at the age of 17. He was drafted at the age of 20. He served his basic training at Joseph T. Robinson in Little Rock, Arkansas. He served in the Infantry Third Division and Demolition team. He served over in Africa and Italy from 1941-1944 as a private 2nd Class. Medals that he earned in the Army: The Purple Heart, Good Conduct medal, The European African - Middle Eastern Theatre. He was also awarded the Wounded Duck. He was a member of the Bonduel VFW Post 10622 & Disabled American Veterans Shawano, American Legion Post Bonduel. After being discharged from the army he started his career in truck driving for the FWD Clintonville and for John Hennes trucking, Appleton for 35 years. Clarence owned and operated a dairy farm in Bear Creek for over 10 years, then moving to the Navarino area and farmed. After his retirement he had his own businesses, Daebler Trucking and Daebler Amusements which he enjoyed very much. Clarence married Sylvia Johnson in 1951 with whom he had 3 children Steven, Karen, & Dean. In 1976 he married Bonita Hanus and they had their son Jason. Clarence & Bonita were married for 35 years. Together with Bonnie they operated Bonnie's Silver Dollar, Clintonville.
