Archer on materials in Stanley Kimmel Collection: "EDWIN BOOTH GROSSMAN became rather an accomplished painter--held an exhibit at the Marie Harriman Gallery, 61-63 E 57th NYC, 13 Jan to 1 Feb 1941. Catalogs & photos in SK file." May have been living at Avenue Farm in Fishkill NY in 1948 (source letter from Booth Colman to Grace Kyle dated 13 Dec 1948 located in James T. Wollon Collection, Historical Society of Harford County, Maryland).

Date and place of marriage from "Miss Helen Foos a Bride," New York Times, 15 October 1908. The wedding took place at 10:00 am. Rev. Dr. George A. Strong officiated. Helens sister Alice "gave her away." "Relatives and intimate friends only were present." Helen wore "a traveling costume of dark green cloth, and was unattended." Immediately after the wedding, Edwin and Helen left for Lakewood, "to be gone until Nov. 10, when they are booked to sail for Paris. Mr. Grossman . . . has rented a studio there, where he will continue his studies throughout the Winter." Lakewood is a small village in western New York state. Christ Church is now Christ and St. Stephens Episcopal Church 120 West 69th Street - New York, NY 10023(between Broadway & Columbus Avenue)(212) 787-2755. http://www.csschurch.org/history/history.html and is located in a different church building than it was in 1908.
