About Clarissa Meek
In the 1841 England census there is a Clarissa Meek (5 years old) resident in Enfield, Middlesex, with her mother Clarissa (26), brother Walter (1 yr) and sister Elizabeth (6 months) - [see comment below about being twins?]. There is a birth record for Elizabeth Meek, registered in Edmonton, Middlesex, in the second quarter 1841.
"South Africa, Natal Province, Civil Marriages, 1845-1955," index and images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KDCK-DTC : accessed 12 May 2015), William James Dunbar Moodie and Clarissa Meek, 20 Sep 1853; citing Pietermaritzburg, Natal, South Africa; 00111; National Archives and Records Service of South Africa, Pretoria; 1,259,158.
Must have been a divorce at some stage because William James Dunbar remarried before Clarissa's death.

Hello,
<<< Can anyone tell me more on Clarissa Meek who m:28-09-1853 William James Dunbar Moodie. I suspect she might be related to other Meeks that went to Greytown RSA. I wonder if she is related to Elizabeth Meek of Enfield, England who m:26-11-1858 to James Frederick Markham ?. >>> I have just answered my own question, something I have wondered about for a long time:
John Joseph Meek + Clarissa Cutbush had about 6 adopted children it seems. Two of these children were Clarissa Meek b:26-01-1836 + Elizabeth Meek b:26-01-1836. Not only are Clarissa + Elizabeth Meek sisters, they are twins !!!. In my records I already Elizabeth Meek's b. date as b:26-01-1836. Elizabeth Meek m. James Frederick Markham, my line, their one son Frederick Edmund Markham m. Elsie Elizabeth Moodie. This also should mean that this Clarissa Meek b:26-01-1836 must be the same person who has eluded many (???) it seems so far, who m:28-09-1853 to William James Dunbar Moodie, Esq. J.P. (b:13-11-1827 at Port Francis, Cape Colony, South Africa). In fact James Frederick Markham had a dog named Clarissa Mary Markham.
This is a most interesting link to be found for me. It would explain why James F. Markham and 3 of his sons went to Rhodesia having closeness to the Moodie family, his wife's sister married a Moodie !!!. I think is the first time this link has been established....
