Biography

Claesje Quackenbosch (Stille) was born in February 1672 in Manhattan, New York, Province of New York and was baptized on February 11, 1672 in Dutch Reformed Church, New York, Province of New York. Her parents were Jacob Watesa and Aeltje Fredericks van Braziel.

Claesje married Reynier Quackenbush (Quackenbosch) circa 1690 in Province of New York. Together they had the following children: Jacob Quackenbosch; Claas Van Quackenbosch; Johannes Quackenbosch; Mary Poole Quackenbosch; Abram Quackenbush.

Claesje married Jacob Koning on August 25, 1711 in New York, Province of New York. Together they had the following children: Aaltje Koninck; Isaac Koning.

She died after 1739.

It is not known exactly when Reynier died but it is believe to have been between 20 Apr 1708, the date he petitioned for a patent with Col. Peter Schuyler [3], and 25 Aug 1711, the date that Claasje, remarried.

Death

It is not known exactly where or when Claesje died but she was last seen in Tappan in 1739 at the baptism of her son Jacob's daughter, Claesye.
