Reynier Quackenbush was baptized on 6 April 1653 at Valkenburg, Holland. He was the son of Pieter Quackenbush and Maritje Aiensdochter. Reynier Quackenbush married Lysbeth Jans Masten, daughter of John Masten and Dievertje Jans, on 2 March 1674 at Dutch Reformed Church, New York. Reynier Quackenbush married Claesje Jacobse Stille, daughter of Jacob Corneliszen Stille and Aeltje Fredircx, on 13 September 1692 at Dutch Reformed Church, New York City, NY. Reynier Quackenbush died between 1708 and 1711.
Reynier Quackenbush was also known as Reynier Van Quackenbush. Reynier was one of the original settlers of the Canastagione Patent on the north bank of the Mohawk River. Bt 1692 he moved to New York City where he married his second wife.

WikiTree: Reynier's farm in New York City was in lower Manhattan Island in the vicinity of today's Union Square on 14th St. (between Broadway, 6th Ave. and down to 10th St.).
According to the book written by Adriana Suydam Quackenbush (pages 27-28)…
Reynier cam to New Netherlands with his father from Oestgeest, near Leiden, Holland. He probably lived in Albany prior to his first marriage, which occurred in NYC FEB 11, 1674, after which he settled in the vicinity of Schenectady. It is told tradionally that the wife and infant of one of the Quackenbush ancestors were slain by the Indians in Schenectady and if this be true, the coincidence of dates and other circumstances would indicate that Lysbeth Masten and her son Claas were the victims. by Deborah Davis 2019
