About Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo
Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo is a Mexican scientist and politician. She jointly received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 as a member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. She was elected as the mayor of Mexico City on July 1, 2018 as part of the Juntos Haremos Historia coalition.
Previously, Sheinbaum served as the Secretary of the Environment of Mexico City during Andrés Manuel López Obrador's term as mayor, and she was a governor of Tlalpan administrative borough from 2015 to 2017.
