Clayton Garrett Seifert
Clayton Garrett Seifert was born on Saturday February 2nd, 1891, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. According to the Lancaster City Directory, Clayton lived at 619 Beaver Street, Lancaster, in 1909 and in 1923 at 236½ East Lemon Street, Lancaster. In the city directory, Clayton's occupation is listed as a butcher. According to Clayton's niece, Elizabeth Seifert Kulp, at one time Clayton operated a tavern in Maytown, Pennsylvania.
Clayton was married late in life to Anna L. Warfel. Anna had a son named Aldus Hannan, who was born of a previous marriage. Aldus was raised by Clayton and Anna. Aldus was born on March 17th, 1916, and died on March 6th, 1989, at the age of 72. His last known address was Charlotte, North Carolina.
At the time of his death, Clayton was employed as a butcher by the Harrisburg Abbator Company. Clayton and Anna lived at 468 Manor Street, Lancaster at the time of his death. Clayton was taken to Lancaster General Hospital where he died at 1:50 am on Tuesday December 17th, 1935, at the age of 44. The funeral director was J. Fred Fishler. The cause of death was due to a heart attack. Anna, his wife, was born on March 10, 1888 and died on December 13th, 1960, at the age of 72. Clayton and Anna are buried together in the Millersville Mennonite Cemetery, Millersville, Pennsylvania.

CLAYTON G. SEIFERT
Clayton G. Seifert, 44, of 468 Manor Street, (Lancaster) died Tuesday December 17th (1935.) He is survived by his wife, Anna Warfel Seifert, and a son, Aldus Hannan. Also surviving are his father Emanuel H. Seifert, Lancaster; sisters Mrs. Dallas (Minnie) Harsh, Lancaster; Anna Wertz, Lancaster; Emma Milhouse, Neffsville; Amanda Seifert, Mountville; Mary Steeley, Lancaster; and Fanny Seifert, Philadelphia; brothers Frank Seifert, Manheim; John Seifert, Manheim; Irvin Seifert, Philadelphia; Emanuel G. Seifert, Landisville; and Harry G. Seifert, Lancaster. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Manheim. (This statement is incorrect. Interment is in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery, Millersville, Pennsylvania, lot 2325.)
Clayton ran a hotel/tavern in Maytown, Pennsylvania.
Millersville Cemetery has his date of death as October 20, 1935.
