Clyde Andrew “Andy” Bland, age 69, of Linton, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. He was born in Linton on September 1, 1948, the son of Clyde & Beulah (Payne) Bland.

Andy was a 1968 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School. He worked as a mechanic for Manchester Tank in Bedford, retiring on February of 2015. He enjoyed his Harley Motorcycle, which he built from the kickstand up, enjoyed shooting guns, could build anything, and most of all, enjoyed all of his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, whom he married on November 10, 1967, Jacquelen (Faidherbe) Bland of Linton, a daughter, Charity Jackson of Linton, three grandchildren, Christopher Dalton Bland, Brooke Jackson, and Bryant Jackson, a great-grandson, Kadyn Andrew Jackson-Goodson, his brother, Johnny Bland, and his sister, Joyce (Bob) Cox.

Andy was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Monte Ray Andrew Bland, and a son-in-law, Jeff Jackson.

Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, March 30, 2018, with Reverend Kenneth Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
