Col James Harold Dobyns

James Harold Dobyns was the only son of William Harold Dobyns and Miriam Elizabeth Pierce.

   He married Elizabeth Owens and they had three  sons.

   He was a colonel in the U.S. Air Force, and  an orthopedic and hand surgeon.

   Graduated Indiana School of Medicine 1948, Interned  1949 at Fitzsimmon's Army Medical Center, Completed  his Residency at Fitzsimmon's Army Medical Center in Aurora , Co, 1950 ,  Childrens Hospital of Denver, Co 1952 , and  Ohio State University Hospital in 1953. He also completed a Fellowship at New York Orthopedic Hospital in New York, New York in 1961.

   He  has been an academic professor in the USAF (Colonel at Wilford Hall USAF Hospital in San Antonio, TX), the Mayo Medical Center (Rochester MN) and the University of Texas in San Antonio.
