Need to resolve parent issue--is this Jethro the son of Jethro, son of Isaac Bass Sr. and Nancy Bunch, or son of Jethro, son of John Bass Jr. and Elizabeth Winborne? Both those Jethros had sons named Jethro. More research is needed!

This Geni profile shows descent from Jethro, Isaac, John Jr.

Examination of the land deeded to Jethro, son of John Bass Jr. would be helpful if possible, based on this GEDCOM note:

John, Jr., deeded land in Northampton Co., N.C. from father, John, Sr. and brothers Edward and William. Same land later appears in deeds to Jethro Bass, and Jethro Bass, Jr. Bought lands from Edward, William, and others. Lived and died in present Northampton Co., N.C. 1777.

Jethro Bass [Jr.] was named in the will of his father. He was born after 1774 since he was still a minor in 1795. He was head of a white Northampton County household with 20 slaves in 1810.
