Colonel Vincent Lowe, Esq., attorney, planter, third son of Vincent Lowe and Anne Cavendish Lowe, was baptized at Denby, Derbyshire England 30 Sep 1632.
He immigrated in 1670 to Maryland, where he settled on Great Choptank Island in Talbot County, Maryland. In 1672, he received his first 1,000 acres of land, patented to him under the name of "Stratton" and situated in Que.
Family
Vincent Lowe married Elizabeth Foster (born 19 February 1658), daughter of Seth and Elizabeth Foster. She married 2nd to William Coursey.
Vincent Lowe did not have issue according to the Magna Carta Ancestry: A Study in Colonial and Medieval Families, 2nd Edition, 2011 GoogleBooks and Vincent's will makes no mention of any children either.
Occupation
Col. Vincent Lowe was High Sheriff of Talbot county in the year 1675, and was commissioned Surveyor-General of the Province on April 3, 1679. "He served as Attorney General, Surveyor General, member of Provincial Council, member of Provincial Assembly, Justice of Provincial Court, Board of Deputy Governors, sheriff of Talbot County."
Death
Vincent Lowe, Esq., died testate in 1692.

THE MARYLAND CALENDAR OF WILLS abstracts the will of Vincent Lowe as follows: "Lowe, Vincent, Great Choptank Island, Talbot County, Maryland, 14th December 1691, 20th October 1692. Lawrence Knowles and Ralph Dawson Sr, personalty. Wife Eliza, 'Great Choptanke Island' and all pertaining thereto, which was left sd. wife by her father Seth Foster, as his eldest dau. requesting her if she die without hrs. to bequeath sd. Island to Foster Turbutt and hrs. Foster Turbutt, 580 acres on Tread Haven Ck. Mary Turbutt, dau. of Michael Turbutt, part of 1,000 acres 'Four Square.' Residue of testator's lands, viz., 'Winfield,' 'oceitorpe,' at Tuckahoe, 'Lady's Delight,' and 'Timber Ridge' in Cecil County, 'Lowe's Desire' and 'Chesterfield' on Chester River, 'Thurston Neighbor,' Baltimore County, 'Lowe's Purchase,' Dorchester County, and residue of 'Four Square' afsd. to be sold by exors. Brother Nicholas, land in Parish of Denby, left testator by his mother Ann Lowe. Exors., Jas. Murphie, Michael Turbutt. Text: Jno. Lowe, Thos. Roberds, Grace Heneka. 6. 7."

The will is for Vincent Lowe and Ann Cavendish's son, Vincent, and "lists no son William or Vincent, but who is the John Lowe who was a witness.
