Per Lois Fowler on Geni: I am contacting you about this profile: Connie Gray Barbee. Connie was my great Uncle. He was a man. He graduated from DUKE Univ. and then got a master of Education and UNC.
He wrote a book on Education and taught school, until his death in his 20s. He left a wife and a little boy. He died from the Rabies shots he was given because they couldn't find the dog that bit him and they thought it may have been rabid. He died from the shots and when they found the dog, the dog was fine. It was such a tragedy! He didn't make it out of his twenties and never got to be there to see his son grow up. He was a brother to my Grandmother Elsie Augusta Barbee Lee and my mother's Uncle. Sincerely, Lois Fowler
