Corine Beaty, 89, died Aug. 4 in Rockwall. Graveside services were held Wednesday at Restland Cemetery in Gatesville with Rex Tilly officiating. Mrs. Beaty was born Jan. 17, 1914, in Gatesville, the daughter of the late William Edgar Bales and Sallie Ann Veazey Bales. On March 9, 1940, she married Paul W. Beaty. He preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 1986. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Lillie Mae Bales, Ruby Bales and Irene Bone. Survivors include sons, William "Bruce" Beaty, Charles "Edgar" Beaty and Paul "Mickel" Beaty; sister, Oshie Lee Bales; brother, John Hugh Bales; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
