ANOTHER OLD CITIZEN GONE
Cornelius Hook, one of the oldest citizens of Jacksonville, died at his residence last Monday after a weeks illness. Mr. Hook was 64 years old at the time of his decease, and had been a citizen here since 1835? (ink was smeared) He has witnessed the country grow up around him in wealth and improvement. The deceased was a quiet, amiable, and excellent citizen, and has filled public positions with honor and credit.
