Cornelius Lees Born 25th July 1820 - Died 8th March 1886
Cornelius was the youngest son of John and Mary Lees. He was born at his parents house at Castlereash Road, Castlereagh. For the first seven yeras, Cornelius lived at the family farm at Castlereach but then moved to Sudney in 1827 with his parents and younger members of the family. Whilst at Sydney, his father had a stroke and the family moved back to Castlereash where after years of illness, his father passed away in 1836. Cornelius was 16 years old at the timeand joined his brother Richard, working the farm. The farm prospered with Richard, Cornelius and two assigned (convict) labourners.
Cornelius met Henrietta Travers at Castlereagh and they married on 21st June 1852. Henrietta was 15 years old when they married and had a total of 14 children. Four before before she turned 21 years of age.

Cornelius died at Springwood on 8th March 1886 and he and Henrietta are buried at the Wesley Churchyard at Castlereigh.
