Came from Holand because he did no want to "ride horses for the Kizers" per Gerald "Jerry" Rickert -Came from Belgium -He was in the hospital when he died
-He had a temper
One time his son-in-law Edward Rickert had to clean his chimney. Cornelius told him to put a certain rock in a gunny sack and throw it down the chimney. The rock got stuck. Edward Rickert was very calm and just said "we will get it out do you have any suggestions?" Cornelius was very upset and yelled at Edward. Jerry Rickert was laughing very hard telling this story that was told by Edward Rickert to him.
