Corrado Spinola, figlio di Oberto, dal 1296 Capitano della Repubblica insieme a Corrado Doria, ospita Carlo II d’Angiò, Re di Napoli, nel Palazzo oggi conosciuto come Spinola dei Marmi. Morirà nel 1303, mentre era in carica come Ammiraglio di Pietro d’Aragona, Re di Sicilia.
