Cpl. Warren Carpenter

Warren Carpenter served in the Union Army during the American Civil War in Company A, 31st Illinois Infantry Regiment. He entered service on 15 Aug 1861 and mustered in on 18 Sep 1861 in Cairo, Illinois as a Private. On 5 Jan 1864 in Big Black, Mississippi as a veteran. He was promoted to Corporal on 30 Nov 1864 and mustered out on 19 Jul 1865 in Louisville, Kentucky.
