Cyril Leroy Plank

Millville - Cyril L. Plank of Millville, a retired area farmer and former police officer, died of natural causes at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. He was born June 10, 1904, in Plainview, and married Mary H. Heddlesten there in 1923. She died in 1981. Mr. Plank lived in the Millville-Plainview area all his life. He farmed and also worked as a police officer in Millville in the 1960's and 70's. In 1982 he married Joyce Siewert in Wabasha. Mr. Plank was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Millville.

 Survivors include his wife, three sons, William "Bud" of Rochester, Donald of Perry, Ga., Richard of Tucson, Ariz.: three daughters, Mrs. Doris (Robert) Schnell, Mrs. Betty (Sylvester) Shones and  Mrs. Dollie (Joseph) Hoffman all of Millville; two step sons, Leslie Siewert of red Wing and Gary Siewert of Millville; Two step daughters Mrs, Margret (Floyd) Loos of Millville and Mrs. Clara (Wayne) Arendt of Mazeppa; 37 grand children; 67 great grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence of Utica and Carl of Mazeppa; and a sister, Sarah Drake of Rochester.

 Preceded in death by a Wife, son, three brothers, a sister and four grandchildren. The funeral is 1 p.m. Friday at Grace UniteddChurch of Christ Millville, With the Rev. Evertt Schoessler officiating. Burial will be in the Millville Cemetery.
