About Dabney Minor Duke

Born in North Carolina, USA on 1780 to Britain Duke and Anne Bennett. Dabney Minor married Abigail House and had 10 children. He passed away in 1848 in Dickson county, Tennessee, USA. Dabney Duke was born in North Carolina to Britton Duke & Anna Bennett. He served in the War of 1812 from Franklin County, NC. And was in Capt. Stuart's NC Militia. His final resting place is unclear, this is a memorial marker

After the war, Dabney married Miss Abby House in Granville Co NC on the 15th of April in 1816. They made their home in Dickson Co TN. Their children include Nancy, Susan,Bennet Crafton, Martha, Mary, Britton Green, Henry and ANna Duke. The name Britton is also seen with various spellings. Dabney's middle name was made known in one of his children's marriage records.
