Daisy Birdell Haynie, 83, of Crossett died Sunday, August 3, 2003, in Crossett. Born November 23, 1919, in Bolding to Benjamin Wesley and Minnie Calester Dopson Perry, she was a member of Northside Old Line Assembly and enjoyed genealogy.

Survivors include one son, Edgar E. Haynie of Crossett; one daughter, Wanda L. Sisco of Crossett; six grandchildren, Kenny Haynie, Kayla Brown, Kristy Stephenson, Janice Lipscomb, Malissa James and Regina Tully; and nine great-grandchildren, Stan and Ryne Haynie, Michael Lipscomb, Hannah and Lacey Stephenson, Courtney Brown and Justin, Dustin and Jessica James. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar W. Haynie; one son, Alva Ward Haynie; one granddaughter, Rhonda Dianne Sisco; and one sister, Willie Mae Jones.

Funeral services were held Monday, August 4, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home in Crossett with Revs. Shawn Tully and Jim Taylor officiating. Burial was at Laran Cemetery in Laran, LA.

Pallbearers were Floyd Lott, Thomas Wooten, Wesley Jones, Allen Stephenson, James Sled and Kenny Haynie. Honorary pallbearers were Leroy Lalumandier, Stan Haynie and Ryne Haynie.
