Former Houlka Resident dies at Walnut, Miss.

Funeral services were conducted from the Walnut, Miss., Baptist Church at 1 pm Friday for Mrs. Daisy Harris Wilson, a former resident of Houlka, who died last Wednesday in Walnut at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Corrinne Boyd, following a year's illness. She was 87.

The Rev. Harry Phillips officiated. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Houlka with Perkins Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Wilson was married to J. Davis Wilson who died in 1919. She was a graduate of the old Mississippi Normal College in Houston. She was a Baptist.

She leaves two daughter, Mrs. Boyd and Mrs. Irene Sosebee of Sacramento, Calif., two brothers, J S Harris and W E Harris both of Pontotoc, and two granddaughters, Ruth and Susan Boyd of Walnut.

Daisy married Jefferson Davis Wilson on September 12, 1901 in Pontotoc County, Mississippi.
