The Osceola Times, (AR),Fri, 18 Aug 1950, p2. Funeral services for Aron B. Harris, father of Robert Harris of Keiser, were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the family home in the Toxish community near Pontotoc, Miss. Mr. Harris, who was 70, was a farmer and livestock dealer. He died early Monday at Houston Hospital in Pontotoc. Burial was in Ware Cemetery near Pontotoc. Mr. Harris was recognized as one of the County’s most prominent farmers and was one of the first to begin to ship livestock from that area in carload lots. He had served as a clerk of the Toxish Baptist Church for many years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Rutledge Harris; his son; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Clements of Pontotoc; five brothers, F. L. Harris of Houlka, J. S. Harris and W.. Harris of Pontotoc, E. S. Harris of Cooper, Tex., And J. T. Harris of Shreveport, La.; and a sister, Mrs. J. D. Wilson of Walnut, Miss.
