Biography

Damaris was a daughter of Joseph Cady and Elisabeth (Hosmer) Cady. She was baptized September 22, 1717.[1]

She married Rev. Perley Howe, intentions 27 April 1735.[2] Nine children were born to their marriage. The first six were born in Dudley, Massachusetts, where her husband was minister from 1735 to 1745. In 1746 he was installed as minister of the First church in Killingly, Connecticut, where three more children were born. Rev. Howe died March 10, 1753.[3] Rev. Aaron Brown succeeded him as minister of the First church in Killingly in February 1754, and on November 21, 1754, she married Rev. Brown as her second husband. Two children were born to her second marriage.[4]
