About Damazine "Thomasine" Whitehead
COLONIAL GRANVILLE COUNTY AND ITS PEOPLE. It is the writer's opinion that Harmon Harrison, son of Susana (Virginia Magazine of History and Blog, Vol. 51, page 160) came to Jamestown on Christopher Newport's third voyage, married and had children. He said that he married a sister of Andrew Hill and had the following children: John, Thomas, James, Andrew, Hannah married James Hill, William, Thomasine married Richard Whitehead and Elizabeth married John Hill.

Biography
James Harrison, s/o Harmon, married Anne Cliffe, who remarried after death of James to Justinian Cooper. Their daughter, Thomasine Harrison, b @1628, married to Richard Whitehead- b 1625- emigrant to Virginia, Abingdon Parish, Old Rappahannock, Gloucester Co. Virginia. Richard Whitehead probably descended from Arthur Whitehead - born 1595 Lancaster, England. He bought 2000 acres from George and John Mott- in Oct 24, 1673- Abingdon Parish, Gloucester Co. Virginia on Rappahannock River near Muddy Creek. Col. Phillip Whitehead, s/o Richard, was Surveyor for the county later. He sold it later to Thomas Comer and James Harrison Acknowledged the sale on Nov 23, 1682- witnessed by James Reynolds and William Blayne.
On 8 Jan., 1666, Tobias Hansford received a grant of 324 acres in Ware Parish. On 24 Oct., 1673, he, together with Philip Ludwell and Richard Whitehead received a grant of 20,000 acres in New Kent county.
