Lately, at her house in Glasgow, aged 85 [born about 1722], Miss Jane Pollock, only surviving sister, and sole heiress, of the late Sir Robert Pollock, of Pollock, baronet, in the county of Renfrew. Her extensive fortune, the estate of Pollock, is strictly entailed upon her nearest female relative, Robina Pollock, niece of the said Sir Robert Pollock, and relict of the late Sir Hew Crawfurd, of Jordanhill, baronet, and mother of Sir Robert Crawford. Her Ladyship is now, in her own person, sole representative and heiress of that very ancient and respectable family; and must add the name and bear the arms of Pollock.

Lately, at her house in George's Square, Glasgow, after a long and painful illness, occasioned by a fall, Lady Crawford Pollok, of Pollok, and relict of the late Sir Hew Crawford, of Jordanhill, Bart.
Her Ladyship, Robina Pollok, was only child of the late Captain John Pollok, of Balgray, brother of Sir Robert Pollok, of Pollok, Bart. and was in her own person representative of two of the most ancient families in Scotland, the Lockharts, of Lee, and the Polloks. Her Ladyship served heir to Sir Robert Pollok, of Pollok, Bart. in 1807, whose estates were strictly entailed on her, whom failing, on her eldest son, now Sir Robert Crawford Pollok, Bart, of Pollok.
Her Ladyship has left her younger children and other relatives handsomely provided for: she was ever a kind benefactress to the indigent and distressed, and her memory will never be obliterated from the minds of her disconsolate family and friends.
Her remains were interred in the family sepulchre of Pollok, in the Mairns Kirk, attended by her son, Sir Robert Crawfurd Pollok, of Pollok, and other relations of the family, and by the whole of her tenantry on the estate of Pollok.
