Along with Wern (M) age 15, Christien (M) age 14, Engelbert M) age 11, Agnese (F) age 10, Guillaume (M) age 8, Theodor (M) age 6, Pierre (M) age 11 mo. infant, Jean-Paul (M) age 18 farmer. They came to America on the Sea Lark, from Antwerp to New York, Arrived June 1855. He was naturalized on 19 Oct 1887 in Washington Co., WI. He died on 14 Mar 1895 in Beaver Dam, Dodge, WI, at the home of his son-in-law, Henry Jansen, in the Fourth Ward, Thursday. The deceased was born at Colon, Germany, and had resided in America the past 40 years, 22 years of that time in Germantown, Wisconsin and one year and five months in this city. Six sons and one daughter survive him, his funeral was held in this city Friday, and his remains taken to Germantown for interment. Beaver Dam Argus March 21, 1895

Damian Wolf, a former resident of the county, died at Beaver Dam, Thursday, March 14, aged 86 years. He leaves six sons and one daughter namely, Werner and Paul of St. Lawrence; William, of Richfield; Christian of West Bend; Peter of Lomira; Engelbert of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Agnes Jansen of Beaver Dam. His remains were taken to St. Lawrence for burial last Saturday, the funeral services being conducted by Rev. Schwaiger. The Hartford Press, page 3 Friday, March 22, 1895

Last Thursday the 85 year old grandfather, Dominic Wolf, died in the house of his son-in-law, Heinrich Jansen and wife in Beaver Dam. He leaves behind 6 sons and one daughter. The funeral was last Saturday in St. Lawrence with the Rev. Schwaiger officiating. He was buried on 16 Mar 1895 in St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery, St. Lawrence, Washington, WI. The National Archive records in Washington, D.C. show that the Damian Wolf family, with eight children ranging in age from two to eighteen years, left Anweiler, Prussia for Antwerp, Belgium. They boarded the "Sea Lark" a 973 ton Belgian boat, under the command of Captain Jacob C. Woodbury. They arrived in New York on June 8, 1855. There were 213 passengers on board and the Damian Wolf family was listed on lines 104 thru 113 on the ships record. It further shows that Damian and Anna were 45 years of age and that his occupation was that of a farmer.

On April 24, 1820 George Petri bought 120 acres of timberland from the Milwaukee Land Office of the United States Government, James Monroe, President. On June 28, 1855 Mr. Petri sold this farm and timberland to Damian Wolf for $4500. This property is located one mile north and one-half mile west of Goldendale, Wisconsin.

According to Circuit Court records at West Bend, Wisconsin, Damian Wolf applied for citizenship on June 29, 1855. Thirty two years later, on Oct. 19, 1887 he renounced William, the emperor of Prussia, to Andrew Schmidt, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Washington County, State of Wisconsin. Damian Wolf swore his allegiance to the United States of America and with that act he became a citizen of this country.
