I have been working on genealogy of my family for about 65 years. My German side is well documented thanks to my father's good record keeping and contact with my cousin in Germany over the past 150 years. My mother's side is less clearly recorded due to secrecy and poor literacy by her grandparents and other relatives who originated in Poland and the present day Czech Republic. The Bohemian Jewish side of her family is only partially recovered. Osek-Wossek is the town most associated with the Bohemian family. In Poland the town is Babimost=Bomst.

My interest now in 2020 is on researching the smaller Jewish family hometowns, adding Geni town projects, and increasing the knowledge of where people came from, an essential part of family history that often complements the birth and death dates. I have added or edited hundreds of small Jewish Town Projects on Geni in the last few years.
Here is another aspect of Geni you can work on. Jews were documented down to the house # they were born in. Many researchers quote Badatelna records and include the house #. I am copying the house number, date of birth and town name and placing it as the very first few words in the person's profile. The first few words are shown on searched profiles lists. With this addition we can quickly find all the people born in a certain house in a certain town in a certain year. This can be very useful information for family recovery genealogy.
