10 February 1700: Instrument of Resignation at the hand of Ronald Campbell, N.P., in the hands of Archibald, Earl of Argyll, immediate lawful superior, following procuratory of resignation contained in letters of disposition by Archibald McLaerty of Gartcharren, heritable proprietor, in favour of George Campbell of Barrichibean, heritably and irredeemably of the 5 merk land of Gartcharren with the isles called Ellenphersone, Ellannykcorle and Ellenon with pertinents, in the bailliary of Craignish and sheriffdom of Argyll. Possibly the estate of Daniel Campbell or perhaps Daniel Campbell junior was listed in the Quit Rent books for 1754 as owner of 250 acres in St Andrew, 150 acres in St Mary and 17 acres in Westmoreland, total 417 acres.

Tentatively identified as Daniel Campbell of Port Royal, planter. Estate probated in Jamaica in 1748. Slave-ownership at probate: 37 of whom 19 were listed as male and 18 as female. 0 were listed as boys, girls or children. Total value of estate at probate: £1500.71 Jamaican currency of which £1155 currency was the value of enslaved people.
