Daniel Franca (1986 - 2007)

Brief overview:

Daniel (21), a student teacher and North-West University's Puk campus, was shot dead at his parents' supermarket on the N12 in Potchefstroom, on 11th July 2007. A security guard (34), was also shot in the leg and bled to death and died at the scene. Due to police not knowing his name it was withheld as his next of kin had not been informed.

After shooting the guard, the three armed men raided the supermarket at around 19h00, and shot Daniel. He clutched his chest and collapsed behind the counter. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
