DANIEL GARDINER
Daniel Gardiner was born in Larkhall, Lanarkshire, Scotland, on June 12, 1881 and died Aug. 6, 1957 at the Collins Memorial hospital in Knoxville, following a brief illness, at the age of 76 years, one month and 25 days. He was a retired coal miner.
At the age of 17 he enlisted in the British army and fought in the Boer War in South Africa. On his return home he married Flora McNeil on October 28, 1904. Six children were born to this union, three sons and three daughters. One daughter, Mrs. Dave Williams, preceded him in death.

Fifty years ago he confessed to Christ as his personal Saviour and throughout the years he maintained a steady testimony to the saving and keeping power of the One in whom he trusted.
For many years he was correspondent for the Williamson Assembly and took an active part in ministering the word to all.

Also six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
