According to an article in the Hamilton Spectator (newspaper), Daniel died as the result of a pedestrian-vehicle collision on January 7, 1949 at the corner of Concession and 17th Street in Hamilton (on the Mountain). The article continues to report that Daniel was born in the province of Quebec, but had lived in Hamilton for the past 28 years prior to his death. During that time he worked for Procter and Gamble Company of Canada Limited for 25 years. He was a member of the Chalmers Presbyterian Church and a past chair of the board of elders. The article concludes with the statement that "interment will take place in Burkholder Cemetary." This is the same Cemetary where his wife Jane is buried. |
