Danielle (25), a young graphic artist, her mangled body was found on a farm in Muldersdrift on the West Rand
She had a torn piece of material around her neck and her hands were still clenched tightly in a fist under her neck. Her body was propped up against a fence, but not tied. Her chin was crushed, her nose broken. She was wearing shorts and a sleeveless T-shirt.
Insp. Tebogo Kgomo, police spokesperson, said it was not clear how she was killed or whether she possibly was raped or strangled.
Linda Lumsdale (53), Danielle's mother, said she last saw her daughter alive on October 17 when she and Timothy Dreyer (31), a friend, were on their way to a motorcycle race in Midrand. Danielle and Dreyer had met Douw Coetzee (35), another friend, at the motorcycle race and then went to visit his farm in Muldersdrift on Saturday evening.
