楊錦坤有六子,其中兩個是拿督三個是醫生,長子楊建徳拿督(Yeoh Kian Teik,1925-2014)為留英畢業的律師,曾任霹靂州律師公㑹及馬華公會主席,並於1970年代創辦新南長途巴士公司(Sri Maju),行走泰國經大馬到新加坡的路線。雖然楊建德為政商法律界名人，但幾乎所有報道他死訊的頭條都列他為楊紫瓊父親，可見他的女兒絕對是家族最知名的成員
