Note: David AUSTIN came from Rhode Island to Milton in the fall of 1786, with his brother Joseph, and established himself in the east part of the town.
In 1788 he walked back to Rhode Island, and in the following spring brought his family to their new home in the wilderness. He died in 1813, leaving a family of twelve children.
