On 25 Sep 1734 in Ipswich, Essex, Massachusetts he married Elizabeth Marshall 1715 – 1801 on 25 Sep 1734 in Ipswitch. She was the daughter of Benjamin Marshall 1684 – 1747 and Bethiah Goodhue 1689 – 1752. Both Elizabeth Marshall and David Burnam Jr are mentioned in her father's will: "Item: I give to my daughter Elizabeth wife of David Burnam Jr, Forty Shillings old tenor: besides what I have already done from her."
