BAILEYVILLE - David H. Carlow Sr., 62, died Feb. 1, 2004, at his residence. Born April 10, 1941, in Calais, the son of Juan and Gladys (Leighton) Carlow. He was a Coast Guard Veteran. Chappy was employed 36 years by Georgia-Pacific Corp. of Baileyville, retiring because of ill health. Surviving are his wife, Dale (McLaughlin) Carlow of Baileyville; two daughters, Dawn S. Carlow of Hooksett, N.H., Davida M. Lawless and her husband, John Jr., of Baring; three sons, David H. Carlow Jr. of Princeton, Dean J. Carlow and Missi Sears of Baileyville, Duane B. Carlow and Nancy Duchaine of Baileyville; four brothers, Glen, Juan, John and Lynn Carlow and families; one stepsister, Jackie Perkins; nine grandchildren, David and Jesse Stevens, Timothy and Cody Johnson, John Lawless III, Brent Carlow, Daniellle Bailey, Ashley Sears and Austin Carlow; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Scott-Wilson Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Hinton officiating. Spring burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery.
