David Gordon Cheverie, CV SC

David Gordon Cheverie CV, SC of the Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island Police Department received the Cross of Valour on 19 August 1988. Cst. David Cheverie demonstrated unwavering courage of the highest order by repeatedly risking his life to save three children from a house-fire in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island on the night of May 16, 1987. Within seconds after they escaped from the house, a large fireball shot out the door and moments later the entire structure was ablaze.

Prior to receiving the Cross of Valour, he was awarded the Star of Courage on 6 March 1987 for a separate act.
