David Fairbanks was married twice. The first time just prior to 1810 in Guilford County, North Carolina . The name of his first wife is unknown. He had several children by her but there is no documentation to indicate who those children were. There is speculation and many theories about who they might be but there is no proof. David moved to Rhea County, Tennessee and there in 1832 he married his second wife Nancy Heart/Hart. There is reason to believe Nancy had been married previously and Heart/Hart was not her maiden name. The search continues!
