He was in Adams Federal Hospital in Memphis 8/31/64 to 11/10/64 Other records show that he deserted Mar 6 1863 in Trenton, TN and returned to duty Feb 10, 1864, he was "joined from desertion by order of Col Hearst" Feb 10, 1864
