David Elwood Gooding, Sr., 68, of Southgate, MI, died Jan. 17.
He was born June 18, 1945*, a son of the late Fuller Elwood Gooding Jr. and Teressa Belinc Gooding formerly of Davis.
He is survived by his wife, Saline Matt Gooding of Southgate, MI; a son, David E. Gooding Jr.; a daughter Johanna Gooding of MI; four brothers, Albert, Joseph, Thomas and Dennis Gooding, all of Michigan; two sisters, Veronica Gramlick and Teressa Smulka of Michigan; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother James.
He served in the US Army** and worked at Scott Paper Co. in MI.
A funeral mass was held at St. Cyprean Church followed by burial at Michigan Memorial Park. Arrangements were made by John K. Solosy Funeral Home in Michigan.
