David Hendrik, Baron Chassé (Tiel, March 18, 1765 – Breda, May 2, 1849) was a Dutch soldier who fought both for and against Napoleon. He commanded the Third Netherlands Division that intervened at a crucial moment in the Battle of Waterloo. In 1830 he bombarded the city of Antwerp as commander of its citadel during the Belgian Revolution.

David Hendrik Chassé was made baron by a (secret) decision of king Louis Napoleon of Holland on 1 July 1810. By decision of emperor Napoleon I he was made baron de l'Empire on 30 June 1811 (bron: "Chassé", in Nederland's Adelsboek, jaargang 81 (1990-1991), C-Di, Centraal Bureau voor Genealogie, 's-Gravenhage, 1991, pag. 108)
