HEUFKE DAVID (S Höffke).- Hamburg. So. 1697, adelborst 1699, corp. 1701, later (1710) burgher at Stellenbosch. ~ 6.5.1703 Hermina de Vos of Amersfoort, wid. Johannes Klein of Freienwalde (q.v.). One son, Johannes (1.10.1702), by Jannetje Christiaans. + between 16.1.1710 and 21.5.1712. Burgher at Cape Town, burgher councillor, orphan-master, member of Marriage Board, captain of the militia, lessee of a quarter of the wine licence, owner of the farm “Clovenburg” at Drakenstein. ~ (1) 11.1.1699 Aletta Botma; (2) 12.3.1724 Barbara de Jong of Utrecht, wid. Jacob Paasen. 6 children: Catharina Margaretha, Alida, Cornelis, Pieter, Johannes, Hendrik (the last three not in G.R.).
