Mr. David E. Jernigan, age 72, July 3, 2012. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2012 at West and Dunn Funeral Home Chapel, Newton Grove. Officiating, Rev. Virgil Murphy and Larry Person. Interment, Hood's Grove Church Cemetery. Survivors: wife, Ann L. Jernigan; daughter, Kimberly J. Dusenbury of Raleigh; grandchildren, James, Courtney, Aaron and Anna; brother, James Carl (Jane) Jernigan of Benson, Junior (Glendon) Jernigan of Benson; sisters, Ethelene Lee of Four Oaks, Vada Vick of Raleigh. Merlene Byrd of Raleigh, Edna Breedlove of Panama City , FL; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by a son, Timothy David Jernigan; and a son-in-law, Bernard D. Dusenbury, Jr. The family would like to thank the 4th floor staff and the ICE unit of Johnston Medical Center.
