About David Nephi Kunz
David Nephi Kunz was born February 24, 1922, in Wabuska, Nevada, to Ezra Louie Kunz and Vilda Dustin Kunz. He was only 17 years, 10 months and 2 days old when he passed away on December 27, 1939, when a cave-in at a gravel pit where he was working caused gravel to hit him which fractured the back of his skull. He died within about 10 minutes before he even reached the hospital. His death certificate indicated that he was normally a student and also did road work and worked at The Dream Mine in Utah. His usual place of residence was in Sandy, Utah. He was a senior at Jordan High School at the time of his death. His funeral was conducted in Spanish Fork on the Sunday following his death at 1 p m in the Sandy First L D S ward chapel by Bishop J. Clement Crapo. He was buried in the Sandy City cemetery.
